Co ja mogę, co ja mogę kiedy totalnie nie znam się na wszystkich tych technikach w malarstwie, a chcę opisać kogoś styl?! V.V (Valerie Vargas) jest kolejną tatuującą kobietą, która zrobiła na mnie ogromne wrażenie i nadal mile zaskakuje każdym nowym postem wrzuconym na swój blog i kolejnym rewelacyjnym projektem. W Londynie z pewnością należy do 'tatuującej elity'. Terminy ma pozajmowane przynajmniej na najbliższe kilka miesięcy. Od kwietnia na jej stronie internetowej możesz przeczytać takie oto info:

Powracając do jej stylu. Określiła bym go jako neo-traditional + old schoolowe elementy (w tym gruba czarna krecha!) + rewelacyjna technika + kolorystyka. Wszystko jest zawsze perfekcyjnie zaplanowane, rozmieszczone i po skończeniu robi niesamowite wrażenie. Najbardziej popularne są jej gypsy girls. Lubię jej technikę nie tylko ze względów wizualnych, choć dla mnie tatuaż wiąże się głównie z estetyką. Valerie potrafi w twarzach ludzi oddać emocje, głównie za sprawą spojrzenia. Oczy owych Gypsy zapatrzone w jakiś konkretny punkt wyrażają zamyślenie, smutek, tajemniczość i wiele innych afektów (które być może dostrzeżesz?!). Wydaję mi się to trudne, przede wszystkim dlatego, że styl w którym tworzy Vargas nie ma zbyt wiele wspólnego z realizmem.



Od 2007 roku związana jest ze Frith Street Tattoo w Londynie. Poza tatuowaniem nie tworzy zbyt wiele, jak sama piszę - z powodu braku czasu. To co faktycznie powstanie: obrazy, towary z jej grafikami itp. zostają udostępnione w oryginale lub odbitkach na sprzedaż. TUTAJ (sprawdź!).

Big Eyed women...

Malowanie zawsze było dla niego środkiem wyrażania własnej osobowości. Ogromne oczy modelek to nic innego jak wielkie lustra w których Scott Rohlfs tworząc widzi odbicie swojej duszy. Jego obrazy to surrealistyczne portrety, karykatury w przewrotnym tego słowa znaczeniu. Artysta zniekształca kobiece twarze, nie odejmując im uroku i piękna.

Obrazy Rohlfsa powstają przy użyciu farb akrylowych nakładanych pędzlem lub aerografem.

Skąd czerpie inspiracje? Wytatuowane, nagie, zmodyfikowane o ogromnej ilości sexapliu kobiety pojawiają się zawsze na pierwszym planie. Sam piszę na swojej stronie: My work is a fusion of personal experiences and influences- moody atmospheres, tattoo-inspired couture, and timeless elements all laced with clandestine symbolism. The figures I paint exist in their own mysterious realm and time, and each painting offers a glimpse into their atypical world.

Zauważyłam również pewne nawiązania do stylistyki Briana M. Viveros'a (patrz poprzedni wpis) oraz portrety alternatywnych modelek.

The art of Brian M. Viveros

Mysterious sexy women, with their remarkable sensual eyes, and a cigarette in the corner of their mouths, became his trademark. These characters play their lustful roles, sprouted from the brain of the American artist Brian Viveros. His art is a unique mixture of different visual and artistic concepts, surrealism, role playing and some quite heavy pain fantasies. Like the ones where the women are hooked, tortured and bound, but somehow, even in these morbid scenes, he is capable of maintaining a decent dose of humor.

The erotic artwork of Brian M. Viveros is a satisfying cross between the Varga Girls and the surrealist renderings of Hans Bellmer. At once playful, hypersexual and erotic, there is also something darkly engaging in Viveros’s images. Praktycznie każdy słyszał o Kat, głównie dzięki programowi Miami Ink. Doceniam jej pracę, jednak nie należy ona do moich ulubionych tatuujących kobiet w przeciwieństwie do Rachel Ann Aust.
Swoje ciało pokrywać tatuażami zaczęła w wieku 18 lat. W tym momencie pod jej skórą znajduję się już całkiem spora dawka tuszu.
Jednak nie z tego powodu porównałam ją do Kat. Rachel zawodowo zajmuję się tatuażem. Obecnie pracuje dla studia Sacred Heart Tattoo w Atlancie (Georgia).

Róże, twarz, ptak na jej prawej ręce od Mikey Jankinsa. Z kolei Phil Colvin i Dave Kruseman (obaj z Memorial Tattoo) wykonali tatuaże na jej palcach. Pozostałe w większości pochodzą od Bena Millera.
